PREIKESTOLEN FJORD MUSEUM

Rethinking Student Architectural Competition

In this proposal presented for the Spanish magazine re-thinking, it was sought through a contest of ideas, to recover the tourist stone of Preikestolen, seeking to implement different tourism activities and actions that will be in favor of the conservation of the stone.

For the development of the project an analysis of the context in different scales were made, and it is observed that the Preikestolen Fjord, is just one of the sites of natural interest along Norway, therefore, we are proposing a route along the natural heritage of the country, in which the preikestolen will be the milestone of a new type of connection development through  a tunnel-museum- that connects the towns of the region through this northern route proposed.

THE GENERAL VIEW OF THE COUNTRY
THE SITE & THE CONNECTION
PREIKESTOLEN

the museum works as a new exploration to the meaning of the Fjord, since it recognizes that the true story is what is unexplored, the sea and the underground, would be a new way of seeing the Preikestolen.

THE IDEA

For the macro proposal a new system of life stations along the route is also proposed, which are allusively designed for the thawing process of the Norwegian fjords, and it will help the tourist get around easier bringing the basic services such as water and energy during their experience along the Northern Route
